Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Atlanta-based partner Micheal Binns has been named to the Daily Report’s “On the Rise” list of promising attorneys under the age of 40. He was honored during the 2020 Georgia Legal Awards virtual ceremony on June 24th. Micheal was selected by a panel of esteemed lawyers for his dedication to the legal profession, his clients and the community at-large. According to the Daily Report, nominations for the Georgia Legal Awards were up 15% from the previous year, a reflection of the competitiveness for these accolades.
Micheal serves as Parker Poe’s Atlanta Office Development Partner and is a registered patent attorney counseling clients involved in intellectual property (“IP”) litigation and global IP counseling and transactional matters. His experience spans a variety of industries and technologies, including tech, biotechnology, chemical, pharmaceutical and telecommunications arts.
Micheal serves as board chair of Page Turners Make Great Learners in Atlanta, a nonprofit organization working to improve literacy in inner-city Atlanta. He is incredibly passionate about this organization and has had a hand in leading its team to make a dramatic impact on Atlanta families at Title 1 schools. He is also an active board member with the Georgia Wildlife Federation and the Spruill Center for the Arts in Dunwoody, Georgia.
Mr. Binns earned his undergraduate degree from Morgan State University and his law degree from Fordham University School of Law.
He will be included in a special edition of the Daily Report highlighting the 2020 Georgia Legal Awards to be published in August.
