Charlotte, N.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Chip Holmes has been appointed co-chair of the Medical Malpractice Group within the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys (NCADA).
As co-chair, Chip plays a leading role monitoring developments in medical malpractice law, seeking ways to improve its practice, and providing continuing education and networking opportunities for attorneys across the state who focus on medical malpractice. The group’s members defend medical professionals as well as health care facilities and institutions.
At Parker Poe, Chip has a diverse litigation practice that includes defense of monetary damages claims in civil court and professional liability defense – particularly medical malpractice, business disputes, insurance litigation, premises liability litigation, and defense of professionals before state licensing boards. He has more than 20 years of experience in both state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and mediation.
Chip is one of several Parker Poe attorneys who have held leadership positions within the NCADA. Jonathan Hall currently serves on the NCADA’s board of directors and is a past chair of its Product Liability Group. Maureen Zyglis chairs the NCADA’s Employment Law Group. Stacy Little chairs the Women Litigators Committee. Daniel Peterson chairs the Government Practice Group. In addition, John Beyer is a past chair of the Medical Malpractice Practice Group.
