Kate Abdullah represents clients in corporate lending, public finance, and economic development. Her transactional practice focuses on commercial lending and real estate, representing major lending institutions and borrowers in various financing transactions. She also assists counties and cities in capital financing projects and economic development matters, and she advises U.S. and international companies on a variety of transactions as they expand their businesses.
Prior to joining Parker Poe, Kate was an intern for the Honorable Michelle Childs of the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. Before beginning her legal career, Kate worked for five years in the employee benefits industry. She received her law degree from the University of South Carolina, where she finished third in her class and served as an associate editor in chief of the South Carolina Law Review.
