Nelson Post focuses her practice on advising clients on construction litigation. She is part of a team of attorneys who litigate a wide variety of construction issues, including scheduling/delay disputes, design defects, disruption and productivity claims, construction defects, and contract disputes. She represents developers, homebuilders, contractors, and owners with the full range of their litigation needs, from pre-construction, construction, and post-construction issues.
Before joining Parker Poe, Nelson was an attorney for a law firm in Charleston, where she represented clients in complex litigation issues, with an emphasis on tort and health care litigation. She also was a legislative extern in the South Carolina General Assembly.
Nelson earned her bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina. She earned her law degree from Charleston School of Law, where she graduated top of her class and was a member of the Charleston Law Review. While in law school, Nelson participated in wills clinics for the Center for Heirs' Property Preservation, a Charleston organization offering legal education services to families to help resolve heirs' property issues. She has also volunteered with the housing court in Charleston County.
