Robert Osborne is a litigator in Parker Poe's Charleston office. He represents clients in complex litigation pending before state and federal courts and in arbitration and has successfully handled state and federal appeals. His practice spans a variety of areas, including commercial contract disputes, business torts, and products liability as well as professional negligence, real estate, and financial services litigation. Robert also has experience handling construction-related issues such as mechanics’ liens and construction defect claims.

Over his career, Robert has represented large and small businesses, banks, insurance companies, health care entities, and individuals across many industries. Along with his Parker Poe colleagues, Robert currently serves as defense counsel for chemical manufacturing companies in multidistrict litigation (MDL) related to aqueous film forming foam (AFFF) and per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Before joining Parker Poe, Robert served as a law clerk for South Carolina Circuit Court Judge James R. Barber III. He received his law degree from the University of South Carolina, where he was a member of the South Carolina Law Review. He also received a Master of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School.
