Tom Hildebrand has more than 30 years of experience handling litigation matters related to the construction industry. He represents developers, homebuilders, contractors, owners, and sureties with pre-construction, construction, and post-construction problem-solving.
Tom regularly works with construction professionals using critical-path and other methods in prosecuting and defending claims in connection with project scheduling and changes of scope. He has orchestrated the defense, as the attorney representing general contractors and national homebuilders, in hundreds of construction defect matters ranging from single home issues to massive cases and class actions involving dozens of parties and tens of millions of dollars in claimed damages.
In addition to his litigation practice, he has extensive experience negotiating and drafting construction contract documents.
Tom is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the U.S. District Court of South Carolina.
