Spencer Barrow represents developers, homebuilders, contractors, and owners in complex civil litigation across the Carolinas. His practice includes construction defect disputes, commercial litigation, and insurance coverage litigation in both state and federal courts, as well as in private arbitration.

He regularly defends contractors, design professionals, developers, and insurers in multiparty litigation arising from construction projects, alleged professional negligence, and coverage disputes. He has experience drafting and arguing motions, deposing expert and fact witnesses, preparing witnesses for trial, and negotiating settlements.

Before joining Parker Poe, Spencer practiced at regional law firms in South Carolina, where he managed a full docket of complex litigation and served as lead counsel in numerous cases. He previously was a judicial clerk intern for the Hon. Robert F. Mumford in Rockdale County Superior Court.

Spencer earned his law degree from the University of Georgia, where he was a notes editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law. He is licensed to practice in both North Carolina and South Carolina and is admitted before the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.
