Raleigh, N.C. – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Jake Parrott and Anil Makhija recently provided pro bono counsel to the Presbytery of New Hope on a large affordable housing development for senior citizens in downtown Raleigh.

Jake and Anil provided counsel to the Presbytery of New Hope on the dissolution of Milner Memorial Presbyterian Church and in the negotiation of the long-term ground lease for the site of the former church.

The development, a collaboration between The Presbytery of New Hope, The Presbyterian Homes, Inc. and DHIC, Inc. is located in downtown Raleigh, where there is a significant need for senior affordable housing. Construction on the 150-unit development is slated to begin in 2021.
