Atlanta, GA – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce John Moye has joined the firm as a partner in Atlanta. John brings nearly 20 years of experience representing companies in complex business disputes in both federal and state courts and in arbitrations.

John has advised a range of companies across the software, manufacturing, telecommunications, technology, and life sciences industries. He has served as lead counsel in lawsuits involving technology and software, the theft of trade secrets, noncompetes and other restrictive covenants, intellectual property, and complex commercial disputes. John also presents frequently at conferences and continuing legal education events, including the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw) annual conference. He also taught civil litigation for several years at the University of North Carolina School of Law.

"I’ve long admired Parker Poe for its ability to provide top-notch service to clients, particularly in Georgia and the Carolinas, and am excited to be joining their team in Atlanta," John said.

"John brings a tremendous amount of experience in both Georgia and North Carolina courts and strengthens our ability to advocate for our clients in both jurisdictions," said Melanie Dubis, a Raleigh partner who leads the firm’s Business Litigation Group.

In addition, John has built a robust pro bono practice, including representation of tenants in dispossession actions through the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyer’s Foundation and representation of detained immigrants in federal asylum proceedings. He is active in the Atlanta Bar Association, where he serves on the Litigation Section’s event planning committee. He joins Parker Poe from Barnes & Thornburg.
