Chelsea Rush focuses her practice on intellectual property, helping clients negotiate technology contracts and protect their intellectual property rights. She is part of a team that advises a broad variety of businesses, educational institutions, and nonprofits on intellectual property licensing, technology transactions, data privacy and security, and other areas of intellectual property.
Chelsea serves on Parker Poe’s Pro Bono Committee and, in 2024, was recognized with the firm’s pro bono rising star award.
Chelsea received her law degree from the University of North Carolina. While in law school, Chelsea was a managing editor of the North Carolina Journal of International Law. Chelsea also has a master's degree in marketing communications from West Virginia University and a bachelor's from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
As a lifelong athlete and sports enthusiast, outside of work, Chelsea enjoys time in the gym — CrossFit and Peloton have her hooked — and watching her favorite teams, including the UNC Tar Heels, Atlanta Braves, and Carolina Panthers. She also coaches youth softball and workout clinics.
