Overview

Our firm is headquartered in the Bank of America Tower at Legacy Union, where uptown Charlotte’s thriving business, entertainment, and residential hubs intersect. Parker Poe’s roots here are deep: Our firm was founded in Charlotte in 1884. Today our Charlotte office remains the firm’s largest.

Our clients represent the defining features of Charlotte’s history and future. They include leaders in financial services, commercial real estate, health care, international business and manufacturing, local government, retail automotive dealers, and sports and entertainment. They rely on us to:

  • Structure, negotiate, and close a broad range of corporate, financing, tax, and real estate transactions.
  • Resolve complex business disputes, including class action litigation, as well as government investigations.
  • Navigate evolving regulatory frameworks for cybersecurity and data privacy, environmental, and employment and benefits compliance.

Our partnership with the business community includes serving as the title sponsor for the Corporate Counsel Awards hosted by the Charlotte Business Journal in conjunction with the Association of Corporate Counsel’s Charlotte chapter. Our attorneys currently or recently held leadership roles with the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, the Mecklenburg County Bar and its sister organization, the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation, Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Charlotte, the Charlotte Asian Pacific American Bar Association, and the American Council on Germany Charlotte Chapter.

Community service is ingrained in our culture. This is evidenced by our ties to some of the most notable community nonprofits in the region, including current or recent board service with the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, Arts+, Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, the Charlotte Symphony, and the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture. The tradition continues today with attorneys and business professionals in the Charlotte office actively involved in a broad range of nonprofit organizations.
