Madelyn Candela is part of a team of litigators who represent clients before state and federal courts, governmental agencies, and national and international arbitration panels in the Southeast and around the world.
Before joining Parker Poe, Madelyn interned for the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Florida, where she researched Federal Sentencing Guidelines, wrote prosecution memos, indictments, and other memoranda for supervising attorneys. She also previously was a legal intern for a Rochester, New York-based firm.
Madelyn earned her law degree from William & Mary Law School, where she was a member of the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal and president of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition Team. While on the team, she competed in negotiation tournaments. She was also inducted into the Order of Barristers, an exclusive national honor society comprised of students selected for their excellence in oral advocacy, brief writing, and service. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Rochester, where she was president of her sorority, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and president of the women's club soccer team.
