James Davis focuses his practice on capital markets transactions. He represents mortgage portfolio servicers in connection with defeasances of commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) loans. He has represented institutional lenders and finance companies, as well as borrowers, in various financing transactions, including syndicated loans, loan assumptions, real estate financing, and loan workouts and restructurings. He also has experience representing lenders in CMBS mortgage originations and in the origination of franchise loans for ultimate securitization. In addition, his experience includes general corporate transactions.
