Richard Rivera focuses his practice in the areas of professional negligence, tort defense, and internal investigations. He routinely represents hospitals, physicians, nurses, allied medical professionals, and their insurers. He has litigation experience in both trial and appellate courts.
Prior to joining Parker Poe, Richard served on active duty as a captain and attorney in the Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps of the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, and Fort Lee, Virginia. After serving five years in the United States Army, Richard joined Parker Poe in 2003.
