James F. "Jim" King is the firm’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) with over 27 years’ experience as a professional operational, financial and strategic manager in law firms. Mr. King is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators and has served in leadership roles and actively participated in the Large Firm Administrators Caucus at the national level. He is goal-oriented with strong leadership capabilities and a proven ability to work successfully at all levels.
Prior to joining Parker Poe, Jim was Chief Operating Officer of a statewide Florida firm, and helped lead multiple strategic initiatives, including its merger with a national firm where he served as Director of Administration. Mr. King started his career as a practicing CPA with the international accounting firm of Peat Marwick (KPMG), and worked in the manufacturing industry before joining the legal industry.
