Miguel Manna provides strategic immigration solutions to clients of all sizes and across a wide variety of industries, including health care, higher education, technology, and banking and finance. Whether they are global Fortune 500 companies or emerging startups based exclusively in the U.S., Miguel is focused on providing customized client services tailored to each client’s specific business needs and culture. He partners with legal, human resource, and talent acquisition departments to develop and implement corporate immigration programs and to evaluate existing practices in light of emerging trends and changing governmental requirements.

Recognizing that talent has no borders, Miguel has dedicated his career to helping employers secure the workforce they need to succeed. Additionally, Miguel is an immigration instructor for Meredith College's paralegal certification program. He is fluent in Spanish.

As a native of Venezuela, Miguel has experienced the benefits of immigration firsthand. From an early age, Miguel traveled the world, living at times in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Panama, and Ecuador before settling in the U.S.

Representative Experience

  • Evaluated existing corporate practices in light of emerging trends and changing governmental requirements and provided practical solutions tailored to each client's culture and business objectives.
  • Developed and implemented strategies to manage the permanent labor certification program (PERM) to reduce costs and processing times.
  • Successfully helped clients increase approval rates and minimize their risk for requests for evidence, denials, and audits by creating targeted visa sponsorship eligibility assessment programs.
  • Provided comprehensive strategic planning on the full range of immigration needs, from hire to permanent residency, including H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, J-1, E-3, H-3, STEM OPT, PERM, I-140 (EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, and PERM-based), and I-485 applications.
  • Advised clients about the immigration implications of corporate acquisitions and restructuring, reductions in force, and related issues, including I-9 compliance.
  • Appeared before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to advocate on behalf of clients, as well as the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) to defend clients against removal/deportation.
