Scott Scheele is a former U.S. Justice Department antitrust leader who advises clients on the full scope of their antitrust needs. His practice includes helping clients navigate federal and state government review of mergers and acquisitions, civil litigation, government investigations, and compliance. His clients span industries, from telecommunications to financial services to homebuilders. He represents clients before the U.S. Department of Justice's Antitrust Division, the Federal Trade Commission, and other state agencies.
His practice is informed by his nearly 27-year career at the Department of Justice (DOJ). For nine years, Scott supervised a team of 20 antitrust trial attorneys in Antitrust Division's media, entertainment, and communications section. He also supervised all merger and civil conduct investigations involving media, entertainment, wireless, and telecommunications companies and oversaw the enforcement of consent decrees. Scott also served as a liaison with the Federal Communications Commission.
Scott's DOJ experience also included time as an assistant chief of the Antitrust Division's technology and financial services section and as a trial attorney in the Antitrust Division.
Scott earned his law degree from Villanova University and his bachelor’s degree from Franklin & Marshall College.
