Greenville, SC – Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein LLP is pleased to announce that Greenville office leader Erika Byrd was named among South Carolina Lawyers Weekly's Influential Women of Law. Honorees are chosen for their leadership, impact on the legal profession, and community involvement.
A partner in the firm’s Greenville office, Erika focuses her practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate and litigation finance, and general corporate law. She represents private companies in a variety of transactions, including stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, mergers, private placements, equity and debt financings, and corporate reorganizations. She represents commercial lenders and borrowers in various financing transactions and is knowledgeable in the related areas of securitization, fintech, and multi-level financings. Erika also is active in various aspects of litigation finance, including the representation of both funders and law firm borrowers.
Erika is a graduate of Leadership Greenville which helps develop informed, committed, and qualified leaders for Greenville County. Outside of her law practice, Erika is involved with various legal and community organizations. She is on the board of directors for Let There Be Mom, a Greenville-based nonprofit dedicated to providing assistance to moms and dads who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Erika previously served on the board of advisors of the Greenville Humane Society and the board of directors of Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands South Carolina.
Erika will be honored during an event on May 8 in Columbia.
