Remington Jackson focuses his practice on commercial real estate, advising clients on land use, zoning, and entitlements, as well as real estate transactions related to new development and redevelopment projects. His clients include developers, owners, lenders, utility companies, landlords, and tenants.

Remington represents clients before local governments on rezoning petitions that ultimately shape the development of rapidly changing communities. Remington works effectively with planning officials and within the bounds of local ordinances to ensure his clients are up to speed on the latest amendments to effectively petition for a land use change.

Remington also advises his clients on variances and helps clients, including large utilities, navigate obtaining special use permits needed for large expansion or new development projects.

Remington regularly negotiates and drafts transactional documents on behalf of clients, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, construction and leverage loan agreements, management agreements, licenses, restrictions, and easements, among others.

Prior to joining Parker Poe, Remington worked as a commercial real estate attorney at one of the top 200 largest law firms. He has also previously served as in-house counsel to a major Midwest port authority, conducting real estate transactions, among other work.

Remington is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) and regularly participates in the Charlotte chapter and other events in the Carolinas.

Remington received his law degree from the University of Cincinnati, where he served as reprint editor for the Immigration and Nationality Law Review and as president of the Black Law Students Association.
